The most common form of pain therapy is small infiltrations. In special cases, the nerve fibers which are responsible for the pain can be denervated endoscopically. This allows control of the pain without formal fusion of the joint. Pic1: example of an infiltration Pic2: example of endoscopic denervation of the painful facette joints
